Construction Project Manager

What You Will Do:

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
  • Collaborate with estimators during pre-construction and procurement to develop cost estimates, scopes of work, procure bids, and de-scope subcontractors
  • Perform constructability reviews
  • Prepare all project documentation including project reports, schedules, and budgets
  • Maintain project budget, cost control, and change management with open lines of communication with owners and subcontractors
  • Lead construction project team meetings
  • Prepare project schedules and oversee progress to meet deadlines
  • Develop project logistics plans, quality control and safety plans in collaboration with field superintendents
  • Communicate with field superintendents to ensure timely project progress

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree
  • 8-10 years of experience in project management in the design and construction industry or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Experience in Bio-Pharma industries
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong financial and contract management skills
  • Ability to work effectively amongst project stakeholders independently and with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and progressive in scope
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and adjust work against tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPCM or Design Build experience preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver work on assigned schedules
  • Skilled in communicating construction information to a diverse set of constituencies in a collegial environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project
