Mr. Patterson offers more than 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry. He has been involved in the design, project coordination, and construction phases of a variety of projects in several industries. Prior to receiving his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Phil had extensive field experience as a controls contractor, mechanical contractor, and also servicing and installing commercial HVAC systems. It is this background and hands on experience that makes his approach to engineering unique. Phil's diverse experience enables him to bring a special perspective to projects and quickly assess the correct path for his team to take.

Phil's project experience includes pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, chemistry and analytical research and development laboratories; vivariums, clean rooms (microelectronics and pharmaceutical); data centers, healthcare facilities, educational and correctional facilities; administrative offices; and historic preservation projects.

On Pride

"Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it". Phil takes pride in his work and instills this belief in our engineering staff. At Genesis, we approach each project, large or small, with the same dedication and focus. We focus on the critical details that produce quality engineering. "Taking pride in ones work is more than accountability. Pride to us means striving for excellence and going the extra mile for our clients".

Recent Presentations & Training Classes

Phil's experience in the Navy was in construction, but he was also surrounded by lots of aircraft, which fed his desire to become a fighter pilot, or a commercial airline pilot. But his construction experience won out, and he decided to become an engineer instead.
"Solving Problems… is what I love to do." Phil's unique insight into analyzing data and troubleshooting is an asset to each project he approaches.
